PAM configuration

  1. PAM configuration is very distribution specific. This is reason why upstream
  2.  util-linux package does not install any PAM config files.
  3.
  4.
  5.  Expected PAM config files:
  6.
  7.  login(1):
  8.     /etc/pam.d/remote - for -h command line option
  9.     /etc/pam.d/login  - regular login
  10.
  11.
  12.  su(1):
  13.     /etc/pam.d/su-l   - for --login command line option
  14.     /etc/pam.d/su     - regular su
  15.
  16.
  17.  runuser(1):
  18.     /etc/pam.d/runuser-l   - for --login command line option
  19.     /etc/pam.d/runuser     - regular su
  20.
  21.     Note that runuser requires only "session" setting (and for example
  22.     "auth sufficient pam_rootok.so" dummy line).
  23.
  24.
  25.  chfn(1):
  26.     /etc/pam.d/chfn
  27.
  28.
  29.  chsh(1):
  30.     /etc/pam.d/chsh
