  24. TEMPLATE INSTRUCTIONS:

  26. Please copy and paste the text-based template into the body of an
  27. e-mail and send to hostmaster@arin.net with the subject line, "NETWORK
  28. MODIFICATION".

  30. Please ensure your e-mail client sends ARIN the message as plain
  31. ASCII text, not as HTML.

  33. Please do not attach the template.

  35. IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not remove or modify the template header, i.e.
  36. the line beginning with "Template:" or the footer, i.e. "END OF
  37. TEMPLATE". Both are required for processing.

  40. 00. An API Key is a string of characters you can use to identify
  41.     yourself to ARIN. You must first set up an ARIN Online account
  42.     and create your API Key.

  45.     Your ARIN Online account must be linked to a POC authorized to
  46.     make the request. Find more information about API Keys at:
  47.         https://www.arin.net/reference/materials/security/api_keys/

  49. 01. This template allows you to modify information for an existing
  50.     network, remove a downstream network, or return a network
  51.     to ARIN. The registration action is required. Valid values are:
  52.      M for Modify
  53.      R for Remove/Return
  54.  
  55. 02. Indicate the network to be modified or returned. Valid values
  56.     are:
  57.      10.0.0.0/24
  58.      10.0.0.0 - 10.0.0.255
  59.  
  60.     You cannot modify or return multiple discontiguous networks
  61.     with this template. Please submit a separate Network Modification
  62.     template for each distinct contiguous network registration.
  63.  
  64. 03. If you do not wish to modify the network name, this field should
  65.     be left blank. If you wish to modify the network name, supply a
  66.     short name consisting of a combination of up to 50 letters and/or
  67.     numbers. You may use a dash (-) as part of the network name, but
  68.     no other special characters, such as periods or underscores.
  69.  
  70. 04. List all AS numbers from which the network may originate.
  71.     You can list as many AS numbers as necessary. You must
  72.     separate multiple AS numbers with a comma. You may not list
  73.     AS number ranges; only list individual AS numbers.
  74.  
  75. 05. Indicate the ARIN POC handle of a contact responsible for the
  76.     technical aspects of maintaining the IP address space. The
  77.     technical POC may make modifications to the allocated block.
  78.  
  79.     Please note your Org ID already has a Technical POC which will,
  80.     by default, appear on the resource registration record.
  81.  
  82.     Although the template provides only one Tech POC field, you may
  83.     duplicate field 05. to list multiple Tech POCs.
  84.  
  85.     If you are modifying a network record and would like to remove all
  86.     Tech POCs, enter NONE in this field.
  87.  
  88. 06. Indicate the ARIN POC handle of a contact responsible for
  89.     handling operational aspects of the acceptable or appropriate
  90.     uses of the allocated network. The abuse POC may not make
  91.     modifications to the allocated network registration.
  92.  
  93.     Please note your Org ID may already have an Abuse POC which will,
  94.     by default, appear on the resource registration record.
  95.  
  96.     Although the template provides only one Abuse POC field, you may
  97.     duplicate field 06. to list multiple Abuse POCs.
  98.  
  99.     If you are modifying a network record and would like to remove all
  100.     Abuse POCs, enter NONE in this field.
  101.  
  102. 07. Indicate the ARIN POC handle for your NOC. The NOC POC may
  103.     not make modifications to the allocated network registration.
  104.  
  105.     Please note, your Org ID may already have a NOC POC which will,
  106.     by default, appear on the resource registration record.
  107.  
  108.     Although the template provides only one NOC POC field, you may
  109.     duplicate field 07. to list multiple NOC POCs.
  110.  
  111.     If you are modifying a network record and would like to remove all
  112.     NOC POCs, enter NONE in this field.
  113.  
  114. 08. If there are any comments that you would like publicly displayed in
  115.     ARIN's Whois, detail them here. All public comments must be operational
  116.     in nature. All comments must be accurate. ARIN reserves the right to
  117.     edit or remove public comments.
